Meet The Band

CAPUCINE ONN – violin and vocals

Cappy has been making music since she started violin lessons at the age of two – she attended the University of Toronto and Sheridan College for stage performance and has been a private music teacher and performer ever since. She lives in beautiful Huron County, Ontario where she was born and raised. She plays classical violin and fiddle, and sings whatever she can get her hands on. She currently directs a music studio of over 40 students and plays weekly in the community and beyond with her band Jellybean Blue.

KEVIN CARNEY – guitar and vocals

Kev started playing in bands in high school and never stopped. Cutting his teeth in the legendary 1990’s house party scene of Preston Ontario, learning every song anyone wanted to sing along the way. Proud former member of Olive Wide, Fruit Machine Blues, JD and the Longfellows, Djevara, I Hate Todd, and many many, way too many jam bands. Proud current member of The Lucky Charms and this band right here, Jellybean Blue.

CHRIS JOHNSTON – percussion and vocals

Growing up in a small town on PEI, Chris was raised on 70s-80s pop/rock and country music. After moving to Toronto in the mid 80s, he picked up the acoustic guitar and slowly started jamming/singing with local musicians. He later (briefly) tried the bass, then ultimately found his way to his current love of percussion. Over the years he has played with a few classic country, rockabilly and folk/classic rock bands in Toronto. In 2017 Chris and his partner Jennifer moved to Blyth and started Pick A Posie Vintage, a vintage clothing store. As luck would have it, a few years later he bumped into a talented local band called Jellybean Blue who were looking for a drummer. And the rest is history!
